Summertime is here and where I live (southern U.S.A.) that means HOT HOT HOT. Lets make and send nakee, a handmade PC depicting what summertime means to us.

Requirements:

  • 1 Partner - 1 handmade post card
  • Sent Nakee
  • Use any medium you choose (no sticker slapping though)
  • Write a small note on the back to your partner about summer.

Notes:

  • Handmade PC often cost a little more to mail, please be sure to put enough postage.
  • Please keep everything neat and secure (No glue globs, or jagged scissor cuts...unless part of your art).

Yucky Stuff:

As always I will angel if you are flaked on AFTER you rate your partner a 1. If you decide to flake on this (or any of my swaps), you will be removed from TPD, and you will be reported to FOP (Flakers and Other Problem Swappers Group).

OK - forgive my ignorance, but can you explain "send nakee" to a newbie? Thanks!

djcamp04 06/17/2012 #

It means not in an envelope. Nakee=Naked or (Nekked if your from Texas) :)

Sorry...when my girls were little they used to say "nakee" instead of naked. LOL.. @djcamp is correct, it means sent through the mail, written on the back. (No clothes on - not in an envelope)...LOL

ferretlady 06/17/2012 #

Oh, OK! Thanks for explaining! I did get that "nakee" probably meant "naked" -- but I wasn't entirely sure what it meant to send a postcard naked.... makes perfect sense now! LOL!

I am just wondering......wandering......thru the garden..............Can I use a picture I took of one of my Iris' that bloomed this year or my peonies?

This week, summer means DRIVING back and forth to camps and baseball games and practices and etc., ALL DAY (and being late for half of them!). Whatever happened to carpools? Oh that's right, we tried to arrange some, none worked out.

Sorry, do I sound grumpy? Next week should be better.

You may use any type of "handmade" PC...If you use a photo of your garden, I would add something to it...just a word or something rather than just a photo (although I am sure it is beautiful).

No @camelsamba you don't sound grumpy...you sound like a good parent!

As a side note when I read your message @djcamp04 I misread "peonies" for uhm errr...another word and was about to tell you this was not an X-Rated Group! LOLOL

Summer in Wisconsin means outdoor festivals, music, BBQs, gardens, flowers, fireworks, camping, county fair, swimming, driving with the windows down, biking, the smell of cut grass and like that. Now ... what to put on a postcard ...

camelsamba 06/26/2012 #

@Paige1900 must be all that naked / nakee stuff priming your brain :^)

@Angie we're all expecting you to send a scratch-n-sniff of freshly cut grass :^)
