This is the same Swap that TerryF was going to host. None of the dates have been changed.


The swap is for anyone who wants to try making their own stamp. Of course, everyone in TPD is certainly welcome to join, but should be aware that they may be receiving someone's very first effort, so please be kind in rating and providing feedback. It would help if you could let your partner know if this is a first or very early effort, or if you are experienced in this technique. (";)

We will make one stamp of our own choice. It does not have to be complicated and you do not need expensive tools/materials to try it out. Keep it simple if you are doing this for the first time.

Here are some tutes to explore - there are a gazillion more online - just Google "handmade stamp tutorial". You can use any technique/material you like to make the stamp (eraser, craft foam, professional materials, etc.). 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10

We will then use that one stamp only in making one of the following (sender's choice) for our swap partner:

  • 1 ATC
  • 10 swap cards
  • 1 PC (written on or not, naked or not - sender'c choice)
  • 1 note card with matching envelope (written on or not - sender'c choice)
  • 3 inchies
  • 1 matchbox (does not have to be filled - sender's choice)
  • 4 letter sheets with 2 matching envelopes

I have tried to be fair in the required numbers above - if I am way off on anything, please let me know and we can discuss. Thx.

While you can only use the one stamp you have made, you may certainly use other materials and techniques along with it if you want to, but let's make our stamped image (which can be used more than once) the focal point.


If you are flaked on in this swap, I will angel AFTER you have rated your partner a 1. If you flake in this swap you will be reported to FOPS (Flakers and Other Problem Swappers) and be removed from The Paper Dragon Group.

I originally thought we were including the handmade stamp with item we crafted using that stamp. Is that the plan?

Yeah that was never very clear in the original swap either. Do we also send the stamp we make?

as i understand we do not send the stamp, we make things with the stamp.

Since I took over hosting, I will make it sender's choice:

You can, but you're not obligated by swap, to send a stamp you made and used to your partner for this swap. It's sender's choice.

Hint: You can use an old plastic cassette tape case as a stamping block - or a cd case if your stamp is larger.

Swap card? What size is that and just one sided? What kind of paper? Couldn't find any info on site, sorry.

@mummsie Those cards are usually made on white cardstock, but not mandatory. Usually size of a business card. You can find more info here.
