Description:

okay, i've decided i'll run this one on a monthly basis for now. i'll try to get it posted mid-month with sign up by the first of each month. here's the scoop:

you know all those swaps that say "no free cards"? well this isn't one of those. for this swap you MUST send a "free" postcard. there is one catch, though. it must be altered. i guess you would say this is a mailart swap, not a postcard swap.

so, if you don't already have some, get out and pick up a couple of interesting "free" postcards and get out your pens, paints, glue, and glitter. let the card inspire you (rather than just totally collaging over the original. let's see those mail artists at work!

we'll keep it simple and have only one partner each. one card for one partner (so you can put all your efforts into one fabulous card!)

Sounds really cool! I'm in. One question--do we mail in an envie or just mail the pcard, or does it matter?

ArtzyDiva 02/15/2008 #

Thanks for letting me know you are hosting another one!!!

ArtzyDiva 02/15/2008 #

carladallas--Just mail the postcard "naked" that's what most mail artists prefer and that is what we did in the last swap.

lindall 02/16/2008 #

yep, i agree with the Diva! naked is always better when i comes to mail art.

YooperHill 02/17/2008 #

love the idea! Thanks...I hope to play in a lot of your monthly swaps!

MrsMJ 02/29/2008 #

If it's not naked it's not mail art (technically) :)

Question: does "free" postcard mean that I have to start with a junkmail postcard and work from that or can I start with my typical postcard-weight stock paper?

ArtzyDiva 03/10/2008 #

I agree that if it isn't naked it's not really mail art!!
