Number of people in swap:54
Location:Other
Type:None
Last day to signup/drop:March 23, 2008
Date items must be sent by:April 24, 2008
Number of swap partners:1
Description:

This is a total surprise kind of swap, where you, the sender, get to choose what you send. You, the recipient, will NOT ask for or ask for something not to be sent! If you have an allergy to food or fiber or anything you think you might get, then please post BOLDLY on your profile all about it.

I say this because everyone should read your partners profile to get some idea, to see what your all about.

The requirements will be to sign up for this swap.

if you are a picky, particular, crabby, unappreciative etc.kind of person CLICK THE BACK BUTTON NOW!

HAVE A RATING OF 4.7 or higher but NO no sends (1-rating) in the last 30 days

SORRY NO NEWBIES THIS TIME - but you should still have time to go get a rating, join one of my bubble swaps for a fast and easy swap ;) or any other swap that will get you a rating quick.

also when the swap reminder (1 week until swap reminder)comes to your email box, if at that time you are NOT able to fulfill the requirements of this swap, I ask that you please drop from the swap.

the requirements of the swap its self will be to : get a box that is at least 6in x 6in. x 5in (the small cubed priority box is 7x7x6) you may also use a shoe box which is larger than required or ANY similar size box (the box sizes here are just guidelines so that way someone who sends out a good sized box dont end up getting in return a teeny tiny box)

then get some stuff together you think your partner might like or be surprised with. (a good surprise) and fill the box up. You can start getting your stuff together now or you can wait to read your partners profile. Remember what you send is up to the SENDER!

I'm not telling you how to rate either but if you get your box of surprises then you should rate a 5, and if your box really surprises you then think of giving a heart! The rating system is all about did you send your swap out and that your swap was received. Not about if you liked it or did not like what you got.

if you have the rating of 4.7 or higher then you know how to swap and what its all about.

this is an international swap. before you sign up keep in mind the postage, what you spend on the items themselves is up to you. You can go and buy stuff or use what you already have on hand, it can be handmade or a mix of all the above.

send your partner a box that you would love to get your self!

thanks for reading the entire description!

hi! just wondering... is this US only or INTL? (shipping is getting me these days!:)

Susan 02/15/2008 #

this is international, I know shipping is expensive sometimes, you could keep your box lightweight I guess, but I don't want to leave anyone out just because where they live.

Kimbeewa 02/15/2008 #

"if you are a picky, particular, crabby, unappreciative etc.kind of person CLICK THE BACK BUTTON NOW!"

This cracked me up!!

Susan 02/15/2008 #

Kimbeewa - :) i am just so tired of people saying dont send this or that , please send me this etc. i love to give good swap packages and if you dont use or like something, your certain to run into someone on here to give it to , who will like it. thanks for your comment :)

kraftytanya 02/15/2008 #

I am not picky or crabby love the dollar stores love receiving goodies and especially notes But I do have to say what cannot be sent Please read my profile as certain things cannot come into Australia so please everyone be aware of different country customs laws cheers xxxx

jade240 02/15/2008 #

The USPS has a flat rate international box. It costs 11.95 it also fits the size asked for. They will give you a free box at your local post office or on USPS.com. The box can weight no more than four pounds, but it has saved me a ton of money on swaps like these. Hope this helps and as always happy swapping.

I'm glad picky crabs aren't swapping, I worry enough about each package I send!

JunkySweet 02/17/2008 #

Ha! no picky crabs?!? Im so in! haha thanks for putting this swap together. I totally agree, if you dont like something, then you can always re-swap it another time, and that saves more money down the line anyways, because thats one less thing you will have to buy in the future! I think some of the people who are so exact on what they want people to send them kinda take the fun out of swapping, they need to know that swap bot isnt here to fufill everyones wish lists, its about having fun! bee :)

Susan 02/17/2008 #

KRAFTYTANYA- thank you, yes of course everyone should be aware of the customs rules thank you!

Susan 02/17/2008 #

looks like a great bunch of swappers so far! thank you all for joining!

Dibrittain 02/20/2008 #

Thanks for the flat rate airmail tip on the box. Now I will sign up cause I spend more shipping a swap overseas than I put into the swap and I feel like I am losing money as Postage goes up again in a few months.

weeatcrayons 03/ 3/2008 #

The only thing I say for don't send, is anything flavored with coconut or real coconut, you will kill me, seriously! I am DEATHLY allergic! Other than that, surprise me! I'm VERY easy to please :).

latenight46 03/ 4/2008 #

Hi susan are you going to do a usa swap? I have spent more on mailing there than my swaps thanks I love your swaps

Aerochik 03/ 5/2008 #

I love "box full" swaps, it makes it worth waiting for. I'm not crabby or picky and I like most anything. Thanks for hosting

ChicCityGal 03/ 6/2008 #

Late Night I know what you mean one time I did an International birthday swap and the dollar amount was $10.00 but I paid 30.00 to ship it to Singapore LOL I was so shocked because I had it in an flat rate box from one of my other swaps (reswap :)) but I didn't know THEN that they had international flat rate boxes and check this out the package that I sent would have cost more if I used the flat rate international box because of weight so I ended up unpacking the box and stuffing everything into a bubble envelope so it wouldn ONLY cost 30.00 to ship. Talk about a hassle.

Susan 03/ 6/2008 #

latenight & CCgal and everyone else, i did make a USA only swap your welcome to join both or drop one for the other if the shipping might be a problem.

Susan 03/ 7/2008 #

yes everyone with ANY swap please be on the lookout in your partners profile for any allergies! and the folks with serious allergies should post BOLDLY right away in the profile at the top i have seen some mention it a few times which couldn't hurt either.

ChicCityGal 03/10/2008 #

Susan I don't want you to think I am complaining I don't mind international swaps in fact I welcome them! I am always interested in things from overseas and such. I was just responding and I am sure that I am not the only one who has paid alot for shipping. I just thought it was a funny story.

Susan 03/10/2008 #

CCgal: oh i understand completly! I love the international too, and dislike the shipping I have paid my fair share and you see im back for more LOL ( getting better though, one total was over $70 and my last load only cost $38) :)

Jox 03/20/2008 #

I love international surprises and not picky crabs! I haven't done a big swap for a bit and thought this would be fun. I'm off to find a box! a lightweight one!

Midnight 03/20/2008 #

I can't find a small priority box, only the big ones and the envelope. Am I missing something? I checked the USPS website (http://www.usps.com/shipping/flatrate.htm?from=priority&page=flatrate) and it shows the envelopes, which you can send overseas for $11, and the boxes, which cost $37 to send overseas.

Susan 03/20/2008 #

midnight- it doesnt have to be priority, you can use any box that is close to the size listed doesnt have to be exact. I emailed everyone and asked they not rate on the box its self. you can get any box about that size and just cover it with a paper grocery bag or something. hope this helps but the small priority box is box #4 is actually bigger than sugggested

pinkdiamond 03/21/2008 #

Love the idea!!! I'm in.

MissSarah1930 03/22/2008 #

I am not picky either. I love swaps like these. The only thing I must say is PLEASE DON'T SEND FOOD! I HAVE LOTS OF FOOD ALLERGIES!!! thanks!

Susan 03/23/2008 #

MissSarah1930, I understand about allergies and posted to look out for them. thanks for joing and have fun!

Susan 03/23/2008 #

Susan 03/24/2008 #

BtrflyMoominLvr87 03/24/2008 #

okay not sure what to do... my partner to send has written a very angry note in her profile quiting swap-bot and is requesting her partners not to send her a thing. So now what!!! i have no partner to send? should i wait and see if she feels better. as a mother that has lost my first son to my ex-husband i can understand her angry issues for not having her child, i just keep the faith that God one day will reunite me with my son... but that's just me. hope she feels better at one point, and does send the swaps she did sign up for, D.

Susan 04/ 2/2008 #

just so you all know, i have been PMing 07251987 ;) i usually post replies here when I can.

Susan 04/ 2/2008 #

I emailed you all to ask about the send by date most will be ready to send on time but there were a few that asked for a few m ore days or a week so how about 5 more days. I will leave it alone for now to see how everyone is doing, then add some time later. this should keep everyone busy packing finding search shopping. I hope you have some stuff already around for this swap I know I do, i love to shop lately, even when broke! i took my last 10$ to the thrift store the other day! not good! but hey i found a new pack of printer ink for 5.99! color ! well sorry for the long post, ............ :)

Susan 04/ 9/2008 #

I have extended the send out date 5 extra days. had a few requests and so thats what I did, thanks to all who have mailed theirs out already! YOU ROCK!

ningy 04/12/2008 #

Bellapink 04/29/2008 #

I sent mine quite awhile ago, about a month ago now and my partner hasn't left me any feedback letting me know she got it. I really wish she would.
