ATC Ephemera Baggies #2

Hi,

I have a question concerning the meaning of the word "ephemera" in this swap. I am not American and I think the word "ephemera" does not really exist in my mother tongue language (German). So I looked for a definition and found one at the Ephemera Society: "Ephemera encompasses a wide range of printed items including brochures, advertisements, book plates, labels, autographs, dust jackets, broadsides, documents, letters, manuscripts, maps, pamphlets, posters, prints, rewards of merit, trade cards, sheet music, valentines and newspapers."

Is this what you understand about ephemera in this swap? Only printed items? Or does this word in the world of crafting also mean buttons, ribbons, threads, fabrics etc?

I know I included lots of things besides paper items. I put in ribbons, fibres, poker chips, silk flowers, vintage buttons, eyelets and brads, just about anything you could think of. I use all sorts of things when making atcs, so I thought I'd put a great selection of crafty items in the baggie.

Please see the picture for an idea of what to include in the ephemera swap. It does not JUST include printed materials. It includes anything that could be used on an ATC.

My bags are packed! Can't wait to send them along!

I hope my partners don't mind, but some of the paper I am sending won't fit in a sandwich baggie without folding. :) I'm all packed and ready too!

Miss carole.. Thankyou very much for my package of goodies, they were gorgeous, love all the little bits and peices... you sent it on the 2nd of november, and i received it in Australia on the 10th (my birthday:) ) so it was a fantastic suprise in the mail.

Today I got a wonderful package from Germany from Maria! All I can say is "wow!" Some fabulous vintage photos, paper that I am putting to use today, and some great magazines clippings. I've received all three of mine, and hope to hear that my partners get their packages soon.
