Description:

I think this will be a very interesting swap to make for your partner... You will make them a "Happy Book". This is an international swap, and you will be assigned 1 partner.

What you do is go out and get a blank journal book -- Revision: SENDER'S CHOICE as to how big the journal is Journals can be home-made, but NICELY home-made, please! Look at your partner's profile and see what he/she likes, then decorate and fill the journal with things that will make them smile.

Anything goes: You can fill it out with photographs, written entries, magazine cut-outs, quotes, drawings, ATCs, stickers, etc, etc... The sky is the limit. I just ask that you take the time to make it really special for your partner. Everyone loves receiving happy mail. So let's make this swap a great one! Put the time into it that you would like your own partner to do for you.

Participants MUST have a well-detailed profile. That's the #1 must for this swap. If you don't meet this requirement, please go and update your profile before adding yourself to the swap. I will be weeding out people who I feel do not meet the requirements before I assign partners.

I will open this to Newbies, because we all have to start somewhere. However, they must have a well-detailed profile like everyone else.

Once partners are assigned, you will have 3 weeks to create your "masterpiece" and send it out. Please do not start making your journal before you know who you're sending it to. The point is to make it especially for THAT person!

Happy Swapping :) I hope you have fun with this one :)

the blank journal book is quite big. postage won't be cheap.

Are we supposed to fill the whole entire journal? How many pages should it have?

Nastasi 03/18/2012 #

Well, actually I've been thinking about it and the journals can be smaller than 5x7. It'll be sender's choice, but as long as it's something you would like to receive in return.

It is sender's choice as to how many pages your journal has. It should be well filled-out. Once you take into consideration drawings, pictures, stickers, quotes, etc etc... it doesn't take much to fill up 1 page. You can leave part of the journal blank, even so the receiver can add to it.

I really like this idea :) When you wrote "You can fill it out with photographs, written entries, magazine cut-outs, quotes, drawings, ATCs, stickers, etc, etc... " Does that mean for photos they can be ones that we took of general things or ones we took/are in of having a great time? Same for written entries, is it like a written bit about something that happened to us that will make our partner smile or is it something we just copied from somewhere? Sorry for all my questions!!

It can be ANYTHING :) You get to create whatever you think your partner would get a smile from. Thanks for asking questions. I really hope you have fun with this swap :)

I love the idea of this journal and personally I would like to have space to write.
