Description: | |
This swap is a chance to sketch something, integrated in a letter, and send it off- i always intend to fill up corners of a letter with sketches, but then my left brain takes over and fills the page up with writing, and i'm left to sketch something on the envelope while i carry it around waiting to come across a mailbox. I hope this swap will encourage a more blended letter of written impressions and sketched ones. You'll just need to do one, for one partner. Maybe you can take it to someplace especially easy or rewarding to sketch? All around us there's architecture and nature, for a start. I don't think anyone should be discouraged to join if they don't think their sketches are very good- my art profs, who by all accounts know what they're talking about, tell me my drawing is good and on a bad day I still feel like it's awful. And yet, practice like this can't help but improve it. The letter you send will be: -heavily illustrated- 1/3-1/2 of the content is the images -around two pages long I don't imagine flakers will be drawn to a swap wherein you receive a letter, but as this is my first hosted swap I will be a bit conservative in allowing folks in. |
