Description:

I have previously participated in 24 Days of Christmas swaps and 12 Days of Christmas swaps but in these cash-strapped times I thought it was time for a scaled-down but just-as-much-lovely-swappy-fun version...

Welcome to the 3 Days of British Birds Christmas swap!

The three days in question will be Christmas eve, Christmas day and Boxing day - i.e. 24th, 25th and 26th December 2011.

So, what do you have to do? Simply send your partner 3 super lovely special gifts, one to open each day. Scour your partners profile for their likes and dislikes and pick out 3 things you think will make them smile, following these simple rules:

Gift 1 (for the 24th) will be something super festive to get them in the mood for the next day (e.g. a decoration for the tree, sparkly socks, a Christmas film or music, etc, etc)

Gift 2 (for the 25th) will be something lovely they may not think of buying for themself but will definitely want (make sure your partner can get this from your profile)

Gift 3 (for the 26th) will be something to ease away the stresses and excesses of the season (e.g. a scented candle, lovely bath products, a good book to relax with, etc, etc)

Handmade or store-bought is sender's choice, and you need not spend more than Ă‚ÂŁ5-6 on the 3 gifts in total.

Finally, wrap your gifts nicely, label one for each of the 3 days and enclose a little note to your partner too. (Wrapping does not have to be new, in fact I encourage you to recycle materials to wrap your gifts!)

All British Bird members are welcome, including those not currently living in the UK. The send by date is a couple of days before the last recommended day for UK standard parcel post, so bear this in mind if your partner is overseas. The is no minimum rating requirement for this swap but I reserve the right to weed out swappers as I see fit (but hopefuly won't have to!)

Good idea Poots! 24 Days of Presents was a bit much and quite difficult to keep within the price range.

Ooh, I like the idea. I will probably wait to see what the chances are of me getting an international partner are though - I don't have a lot of money for sending abroad.

I don't know how many overseas Birds there are now. When the group started there were one or two ex-pats who were quite active but from what I see so far this swap's participants are all UK based :)
