Description:

This is open to International Swappers.

The idea is to send someone a day out of your life. Not just a note but physical reminders too. You should keep a timetable/journal of the day and send that with any bits of what you did that day...

You should spend about $10-15 US on the reminders of your day. I think this will be an especially fun swap to do with international swappers, but be aware this may affect your shipping cost and delivery times.

If you have ANY no sends I will not allow you to swap.

Example: If I was doing today I might send...

-A Coffee bean sample from my morning coffee place

-A map of my drive to work

-A copy of the test I gave to my morning class

-A recipe for the tomato soup I had for lunch

-A receipt from the post office for the package I sent for another swap

-A photograph of the produce section where I shop

-A jar of the mustard I used on my hamburger at dinner

-A skein of the yarn I use to knit with at night

Another swap I would love to sign up for, but the international postage is killing me, and half of the swaps I have signed up for and put a lot of time and money into have resulted in me getting nothing in return. But this is a great swap idea. I might have to borrow your great idea and do a domestic swap only.

Sorry, I thought this would be alot more fun internationally, but I know what you mean about the shipping. This will probably be the last international one I do for a while.

For us non-americans a swap here is always international. We always have to pay extra shipping costs (which I do with great pleasure). So it's a bit hard to understand why you should apology to US-inhabitants. The world is bigger than your nation. :) Ofcourse everybody has a choice to join or not to join. But taking away that choice for lots of people outside of the US -because you don't want to pay what they always have to pay- makes swap-bot less fun.

(This is meant in general, not personal. Just my thoughts. Thank you. :) )

this sounds like great fun can't wait. ;)

I do enjoy the international swaps (why I made one!). And I'm grateful for all the packages I've gotten from out of the states. I think I'm just sorry that I won't have an extra participant from the US! Okay... I'm done apoligizing for my apology, Lets Swap! :)

HEy there, i'm new to this whole thing, and i probably can't join this one, but I've been wondering... How much does the shipping costs range internatially??

Thank you ^_^ -Ygirl.

I swap ATCs and goodies with people all over the world and I Love it.. and honestly the price isn't really bad.. I mean take as an example you spend $3.75 for a Starbucks coffee it last a little while and its gone.. the new friend you can make and the pleasure shared lasts a life time..

But this is Just My Opinion...

I think the last comment was well said! I have just joined in the whole swap bot shennanigans and, although I haven't yet received my first swap, I had the best fun shopping and musing about what I could include in the package I sent. I cheerfully sent out to the US, even though the cost was little scary, knowing that it wasn't something I would be doing often and was thrilled by the response of the receipient. So, yippee for international swaps, for the exciting items one receives (fingers crossed) and the new friends waiting out there to be made!

International shipping depends much on the country, size and weight. I've had some good success shipping via Global priority mail in their flat rate boxes. The letter boxes can be up to 4 pounds and start at $4 I shipped one to Brazil for $4.55 and one to England for $5.25, and priority arrives within 4-6 days so your swap buddie doesn't have to wait months! Just an option...

That doesn't seem bad at all!! Thank you soo much! I'm hoping to join an international swap as soon as i have the time available to collect ^_^ As fun as this one sounds unfortunately i'm going to have to wait... drat! Thank you Trina!

I'm excited! We have a great bunch of swappers signing up! A Couple new swappers and lots of people with perfect 5 ratings! Yippee!

Please only post here if you can say something positive or constructive or have a question about the swap. This is not a forum to discuss general unhappiness about swaping.

I love to swap! I've always recieved something, and I accept the risk and money involved. To me its worth it to have the joy of getting a regular surprise in the mail, and to give another person that same feeling!

Ok here's the breakdown. You can ship in flatrate envelopes to England, Germany, and quite a few other countries (yeah people not in the US! :) ) for $5.25 in the small global priority envelope, $9.50 in the large. Both up to 4lbs. OR you can ship in a normal parcel starting at $10.50 for 1 lb. I'm a math teacher. My math says I'd rather ship in a couple of misshapen and heavy envelopes than in a box. I'm not sure how other country's postage compares. Just fair warning I suppose. However, I assume we are all inteligewnt adults who can figure out how much we can spend, how much we will spend, and that we care more about sending out a great swap package than how it is sent and at what cost. End of soap box.
