Please change the type of swap from 1 electronic to 3 for crafts etc.

link does not work

Just a safety addition to the tutorial--use cotton batting rather than polyester as the polyester can melt, and transmit heat where the cotton won't.

Actually the tutorial calls for heat resistant batting...that is very important for a potholder!!! Regular quilting batting will get you burned...Also, please not the heat resistant batting is not for use in the microwave...will catch fire

A product for quilted potholders that's called Thermoflec can be found at this site -- sorry I don't remember how to do a link but you can copy it into your search bar: http://www.everythingquilts.com/browseproducts/Therma-Flec-Heat-Resistant-Fabric.html

It's only a dollar something a yard which will be enough for several potholders. I'm going to see if I can find it in local stores.

Thanks everyone! Hope you all enjoy making this one.

It is available at most quilt shops. I think I paid maybe $4 yd

junemoon--that Thermoflec at the site is $12.98/yd! They only sell it in 1yd cuts.

wow thats expensive

I used Insul-Bright which you can find easily. Next time, I'd add a 1/4 inch to the binding width. 2" binding would wrap easier around all those layers. I'm almost done!
