Description:

Chinese New Year 2012 will be celebrated on January 23rd. It will be the year of the Dragon, the most auspicious animal in the Chinese zodiac. (";)

Take a purchased postcard, add a fortune cookie saying to the front (there are lots online if you don't have any handy at home - just google "fortune cookie sayings"), and make at least 2 other key alterations to the front of the PC. Added Oct. 19: Your PC does not have to have a dragon on it.

Then send it to your partner to wish them "Xin Nian Kuai Le!" "Happy New Year"!

Added Oct. 19: Please send it "naked" unless your country prohibits it - and if you have to send it in an envelope for this reason only, please let your partner know why. I don't want anyone rating anyone down unreasonably.

Be silly or be serious - your choice. (";)

I am giving everyone a lot of time between sign up and send by dates because of the Christmas holidays.

Have fun!

If you have any questions, please pm me as I don't check my swaps daily. Thx.

I received these questions about this swap:

"Take a purchased postcard" - can i use any postcard i bought or should the postcard have a dragon on the front?

It can be any purchased postcard you like that works with the fortune and the alterations you want to do. A dragon is not mandatory.

And i am supposed to send the pc naked or can i use an envelope? (altered pcs are not allowed to be sent naked in our mail system so i could not send the pc naked and can not join the swap).

In this particular case, please feel free to send it in an envelope, but make sure to let your partner know why it is not being sent naked. I will also edit the swap description to indicate that "in an envelope" is allowed if you have no other choice. Thx for bringing this to my attention - I want everyone in this group to be able to join all of our swaps. (";)
