Description:

I'm really enjoying making collages...so I have decided to host a swap in which you will have 1 partner to make a collage for...the theme is "Have it Your Way!"

List below at least 5 things that you would like to have made into a collage for you. Please know that all items may or may not be used. You will list at least 5 things you like but it's ony mandatory that 1 image be used by your partner to make the collage. Images should be available in magazines or go online, google and print them (that's what i do).

The minimum size of the collage should be at least 5x7 and on something sturdy (at least cardboard). Collage can be bigger. Make sure everything is secure, glued well or laminated so nothing falls off. Must be packaged properly so when mailed it won't bend and get messed up.

By the way: • Sorry but no newbies for this one. • Everyone must have a full profile. • Ratings must be higher than 4.5

IMPORTANT: • Include the name of the swap and your name in the package so your partner can rate you for your hard work!

I reserve the right to ban anyone, and will check profiles prior to assigning partners

This is USA ONLY due to postal costs.

I love collages too!

Five things to consider when making my collage:

  1. Asian imagery especially Japanese
  2. BMW's (the luxury car)
  3. Harley Davidson Bikes
  4. Women in fur coats
  5. Vintage (black/white or sepia) photos of female friends

No nude photos please. Thanks! Have fun! I look forward to hanging your artwork!

Fun! I hesitated joining this because I couldn't decide on my themes. Then I decided to go with themes I've already got going in rooms of my house so I could prominently display what my partner makes me!

Master bedroom- black and white nature imagery

Master bathroom- turtles AND butterflies

Guest bath- vintage (sepia toned pre-1920) images of mothers and children

11 year old daughter's room- cute monkeys or yorkies

5 year old daughter's room- girly stuff (think princesses, horses, kittens, puppies- just no cartoon characters like Hello Kitty, except Disney Princesses would be OK)

library/schoolroom- color art/vintage images of women reading to children, classic books illlust. imagery

Husband's "guy" room- billiards or realistic soccer or Pink Floyd or Brazil, nothing cutesy, think manly, arrrgh ;-P

I can't wait to see what my partner chooses, surprises, yay! If you would be so kind as to make it fit in a standard sized frame (ie 5x7, 8x10) that would help!

I've come up with a couple more ideas: ocean, seashells; florals, think beyond the garden gate like lush English gardens; outrageous fashion, think of some of those outlandish vogue spreads. I don't do cute. Thanks, Muriel

This swap is so awesome! I'm already brainstorming the collage I want to make for my partner, and thinking up other themes I could list in the future, so I hope sweetsugartree will host this swap again :)
