Description: | |
A zine is a "magazine" that you make and publish yourself (usually photocopied but can be printed in other ways- such as screen printing). They can contain anything you like for example: Poetry, opinions, recipes, a comic, photographs, stories, reviews, sketches, personal experience, journal style. They can be completely written, completely art or anywhere in between. For this swap we will be making a paper zine smaller than 5" x 8" , minimum 8 pages including front and back covers. This is a good size, and guide to use if you are making a mini zine for the first time: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/mini_zine Your zine can be about anything you like, if you prefer art- you can do a booklet of your art perhaps or if you feel strongly about something/s you could do an opinion zine. Its senders choice (so do not sign up if easily offended!). Make it, copy it, put it together and mail one copy each to your 5 partners. More experienced zinesters (people who make zines) are of course welcome to join- just remember your in a swap for beginners so expect beginner quality. Newbies are welcome (with well filled out profiles), minimum rating of 4.8, no-one with unexplained 1's or 3's, and you have to have been on swap-bot at least 1 week before swap starts. Any questions or issues please message me. More info on zines: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zine - Wikipedia - Zines http://wemakezines.ning.com/ - We Make Zines |
