Description:

For this swap you will make one book using vintage ephemera. Please make the book no more than 3-1/2" wide by 4-1/2" high and a minimum of four pages. Support papers should be sturdy enough so the book isn't flimsy and should be on a subject your partner will love. So make sure your profiles are current! :-) The due date will be far enough out so you can wait to read your partner's profile before making the book. The book doesn't have to be 100% vintage ephemera. Feel free to include your own writing or art.

The book can be any style, any binding. However, just as an example, I've given some links below for making an accordion book. I found this style to be fairly easy, especially if one is a beginner. I am far from being a bookmaking expert but will try to help all I can if there are questions.

One idea I just love is taken from the book "Collaborative Art Journals and Shared Visions in Mixed Media" by L.K. Ludwig. The artist used a vintage button card for the cover of her book. That is the image I've used for this swap.

I haven't hosted a swap in many years so if something is not right or has been forgotten, please let me know.

International swap.

Must have rating of 4.9 or higher and no 1's or 3's in the last 3 months.

Be sure to let me know if there are questions. Thanks.

How many pages does the book have to be? It sounds like a great idea for a swap! Only one concern - 4.5 is a pretty low rating. (I don't think any group on SB allows that low of a rating.)You might also want to add "no 1's or 3's in the last -- months or something like that. Just an idea :)

Thanks, iLoveMail! I am glad you mentioned the rating. What number would you suggest? I will definitely change it, and also include the "no 1's or 3's in the last X months". I said a minimum of 6 pages in the description but am going to change that to 4. Last night I tried doing a six-page accordian and it doesn't work. Thanks again for the help. It is appreciated! As soon as I hear back on your suggestion for a rating, I will change it.

Hey @towenby the minimum rating for the group is 4.9. I think you need to change your minimum swap rating to that at least. Thanks!

Thanks TheArtfulDogger and iLoveMail. Changes have been made. Let me know if this is still not okay. I appreciate the help!
