Description:

For this swap you will send 2 decorated recipe cards of 3 by 5 inches (7,6 x 12,7 cm, in landscape format) to one partner. One recipe card should be blank, on the other you will write or print one of your favorite recipes.

That's it! The recipe is totally sender's choice, so anyone with certain food preferences (vegan, gluten allergy, ...) should take into account that they might get a recipe they won't be able to use. The recipe cards can be crafted, store bought or even just a free printable plucked from the interweb*, but they should be on sturdy card stock and decorated in some way, even if it's just decorative lettering. If you choose to decorate the card yourself, please take into account that the card will be used in a kitchen! I wouldn't want glitter, fibres or bits of unidentified dried plant material ending up in my cakes. Laminate if necessary.

Feel free to look at your partner's profile for thing like food and color preferences, it might earn you a star!

If this swap proves succesful, I might follow it up with more detailed recipe card swaps, specifying for which dish the recipe should be, or in which color scheme the card should be decorated, or asking to add a photograph of the finished dish, but for now I've kept it simple.

This is the first time I'm hosting a swap, so any helpful comments are very welcome.

*I love to say 'interweb', like Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear.

This is what I was searching for when I stumbled upon Swap-Bot. I love the idea of exchanging recipe cards in the mail. I know you can search just about anything on the 'interweb' but there is just something about the feeling of passing down recipes that you can get by googling a recipe. Thanks for starting the swap.

@YinkaNut

I'm glad you like my swap! I'm thrilled to have 4 swappers and 12 watchers just one day after posting my very first swap! Now I have to get to work on my own cards!
