Comment: Thank you for the minimalistic flamingo card, Bri! I was disappointed but unsurprised to learn that the flamingos and ibises at Jurong Bird Park were helped color-wise by dye in their food, but I don't like them any less :) They were still quite stunning. Hope you've been getting some good nights' sleep on your vacation!
Response: "minimalistic"...lol. Aw, that sucks but it does not surprise me. I remember seeing food for Quack at Tractor Supply Co and it claimed to boost the color/quality of the birds' feathers so I wonder if it also had dyes or some sort of additives :/ He's had the same Purina brand all his life and he seems pretty content with it so I think I'll keep his food dye free, that is until he sneaks human food :P

Comment: Great postcard! I have not seen one like it before. And NO! I did not see the meteor shower, darn it! I have somehow lost track of them lately, except for the Perseids. I always try to see them. Thanks for the PC.
Response: I need to set a reminder on my phone so I don't miss them! I had an amazing time seeing the Perseids last August with my boyfriend. it was a rainy/cloudy night and we stayed out from 8 pm until about 1 am and we decided to give it a few more minutes before we headed out and just like that- a clear patch opened in the sky and we saw about 30 or so before it got cloudy again. I'll never forget that!
